For the My Cause My Cleats campaign during the 2025 NFL season, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Detroit Lions safety Thomas Harper, and to design a social media graphic that highlighted his customized cleats and raised awareness for his cause.
DECISIONS
• Adopted on a grunge/gritty inspired aesthetic, incorporating ink and hand-drawn marker elements to bring a raw, human touch.
• Enforced key terms like "Build" and "Community" with strong hierarchy across the design to express the core message.
• Built the color palette around blue and gold to tie back to the colorway of his cleats to maintain cohesion.
OUTCOME
After gaining a full understanding of his message, the design was strategically and successfully designed to hone into the story behind his cause, with strategic storytelling and intentional design in mind.
